Mike & Ike (or more accurately, JustBorn) has debuted some new flavors. There is a Tropical box and then another one just like it but they're calling it Tangy Twister or some other absurdity. Anyway, the Tropical box is legit just like any other Mike & Ike box but the Tangy Twister box commits the same unforgivable sin that movie theaters have been perpetuating on the poor public (awesome alliteration).  It looks like a regular box but you open it and BAM, there's the candy wrapped in a bag like we needed the extra protection from the dirty cardboard box. The triple-threat would be if they individually wrapped each candy after that. It will happen in our lifetimes, just remember I was the sage that told you first.

Brachs' marshmallow Easter eggs has probably the highest sugar content in all of the candy world with the exception of Pixy Stix and Lik-M-Aid (here's a secret, they're the same thing made by the same company!) Brachs might even have an edge on Nestle in that the marshmallow egg is compacted sugar whereas Pixy-Aid is just flavored dust. Still, too much of a good thing is not a very good thing and these eggs have begun to grow old. That is why I appreciate their seasonal nature and will herald them again in a year's time. This, combined with their loyalty to lemon and lime in this age of disgusting banana and sour apple. We all know what fruits yellow and green represent and it's time we start acting like it......lest the terrorists win!

I think everyone is in agreement that the new flavors added to the traditional Runts are absolutely horrid. Lime was a perfect place-filler and rapidly becoming a rarity in today's candy scene. It was lost in favor of watermelon and blue raspberry that originated in the short-lived Tropical Runts. There's a reason why that candy line failed so why is Nestle repeating history's mistakes?

This page has a chocolate color scheme to it which is the closest I could get to something candy-based. Secretly, I despise chocolate for mooching off of candy's fame and this is how I pay it back.
